Dark Spectrum: A New Journey into Sydney's Hidden Underworld.

Prepare to dive deep underground and journey back in time within Sydney's historic Wynyard Tunnels. Then, fast forward to the present as you plunge into a kaleidoscopic wonderland of light, sound, and color. This immersive experience, part of Vivid Sydney 2024, promises to dazzle with 300 lasers, 500 handmade lanterns, and over 250 searchlights, creating an underworld of intensity and power.

Set to an epic soundtrack of dance tracks and club hits, "Dark Spectrum" invites you to explore a kilometre-long tunnel system transformed into a vibrant, immersive spectacle.

The experience is divided into eight distinct chambers where light, sound, and color collide. Each room presents a different theme, featuring synchronized electronic music and interactive LED light shows that create a playground of sensory delight.

This stunning event is brought to Sydney by award-winning producers Sony Music, Culture Creative, and Mandylights. The collaboration has once again taken over the subterranean network beneath Sydney’s bustling cityscape, offering a fresh journey through history illuminated by cutting-edge light displays.

The entrance to this hidden marvel is tucked away in Wynyard Park, between York Street and Carrington Street.

The box office is cashless, and once your ticket is scanned, a steward will guide you into the tunnels.

Visitors will exit via Cumberland Street in The Rocks, emerging from a labyrinth of light and music that was once part of grand plans for a train line connecting Mosman to the Northern Beaches.

For nearly a century, these tunnels lay forgotten, but now they shine brightly as part of Vivid Sydney.

Running until June 15, tickets for "Dark Spectrum" are priced at $35 for general admission, $24 for children, and $98 for families. The event runs on timed entries from noon to 9:15 PM daily.
